Supervisor Conference
and Feedback
I asked to meet with my site supervisor, Superintendent
Dr. Darrell Myers, on Friday, February 17 at 1:00 p.m. He has always been easy to work with in
agreeing to a time to meet. I had
already emailed him a revised copy of my intern plan before the meeting. I did take a hard copy of my intern plan, my
textbook, and my skill and knowledge chart that have been required for this
course. I explained to him the
internship plan and how I came up with the activities. He is a great listener and understood the
process I was going through.
As we went over the plan he liked the activity about
implementing a special education program for Livingston Independent School
District. He knew I had already been
working on this with the Deputy Superintendent Diana Kelm, and he thought it
would give me a great opportunity to learn about the many different faucets of
being a leader. We also discussed the
need to get more experienced in domain two – instructional leadership. He knew Assistant Superintendent Janan Moore
would be a great resource to help me gain the knowledge I need in this area.
Dr. Myers did not specifically add anything to my
internship plan. He told me that things
would come up during the course of the internship and he would allow me the
opportunity to participate. He said he
was available to help in any way possible.
